PDH Case demonstration – Demo Plant in the Netherlands

The demonstrator operated at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands is of a much more experimental design, compared to the other two PDH demonstrators. The TU/e demonstrator investigates the option to integrate both the membranes and the catalyst in one single unit, giving it a maximum level of integration. This makes the design of the process much more compact, and it takes maximum advantage of the positive effects that the membrane and the catalyst have on each other. However, finding process conditions that are compatible for both building blocks is the main challenge of this design.
TU/e is currently finalising the last steps for the start of operation.
